QRD versus buckets: impact on carbon footprint
QRD compared to plastic buckets and lids offers significant benefits for the environment:
In 2018 Allied switched 200,000 buckets to QRD saving
– 400 tonnes CO2
– 85 tonnes polymer/plastic
For 2019 Allied is targeting to switch a further 100,000 buckets providing an additional saving
– 200 tonnes CO2
– 35 tonnes polymer/plastic
All of our major end users supplied via our distributors have high targets for reducing their plastic consumption and improving their carbon footprint as well as meeting their ISO14001 targets.
